The Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal is a good way to walk or cycle from Stourport town centre to Kidderminster. Its easy to find the canal, just behind the Black Star pub, or Lidl. The towing-path is generally flat, easy walking and there is plenty of interest. Just past the Bird in Hand pub, Leapgate Country Park, Sustrans Cycle Route ?? follows the line of the former railway branch line that linked Stourport with Worcester.

The peaceful canal path runs parallel to Wilden Marsh and the River Stour, passing under the spectacular Falling Sands Viaduct which is still a route for steam engines on the Severn Valley Railway.
